Considerations for Employee Benefits

Considerations for Employee Benefits

In recent years, schools across the country have faced difficulties recruiting and retaining qualified faculty and staff, due to tight budgets and a strongjob market. Given the sharp decline in enrollment for teaching programs and increasing competition for talent, independent schools need to offer competitive benefits.

School business leaders are tasked not only with ensuring the greatest return on the school’s significant investment in employee benefits, but also selecting the most rewarding offerings for a diverse employee population. Additionally, your school could face liability if benefits are not structured and administered correctly. This workshop is designed for both business officers who have oversight and responsibility for human resources and human resources professionals, who will learn about cultural considerations and best practices for compliance with employee benefits laws.

Learning Objective(s):

  • Discover compliant ways to structure common benefit programs.
  • Learn about regulatory requirements for common benefits.
  • Determine the ROI of your school’s benefits package.
