(from ABC 17 News) School safety experts who have studied available details of the school shooting at Annunciation Catholic Church in Minneapolis in late August have noted no one has yet figured out how to predict an event of that nature but building community and striving to ensure every student has a meaningful connection can help. They also noted locking the doors of the building helped save lives. Resources for survivors are critical, experts said, as an active shooter event's impact resonates for years after.
