(from the Washington Post) Special-education advocates and some public school districts are bracing for potential budget constraints as they prepare for the $1 trillion in Medicaid cuts the president signed into law last month. The billions that schools get each year in reimbursements from Medicaid for services such as counseling and speech therapy are at risk. Schools bill their state for medical services provided to students who are on Medicaid and are later reimbursed.
