Half of U.S. HR Pros Weigh Leaving Due to Burnout

(From HR Dive) Nearly half of U.S. HR professionals are considering leaving the field within a year, citing emotional strain, feeling undervalued and poor work-life balance, according to Lattice’s 2026 State of People Strategy Report. Still, about one-third found reasons to stay — such as helping employees grow and having organizational impact. Despite challenges, over 75% of HR pros feel engaged. U.S. HR leaders also express confidence in navigating national political and regulatory shifts, with 73% saying they’re equipped to lead through ongoing volatility, per The Conference Board’s May survey.
